A new portal opens to Norrath‘s brave adventurers in EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers (EQOA). The Zaoran Plateau, also known as the Plane of War, is Rallos Zek’s realm. Several surprises await those who dare enter this zone.

Here’s what players can expect from EQOA’s newest zone:

• Hundreds of items to obtain in Zaoran Plateau alone, including class specific armor sets.
• Dozens of new raid encounters and some of the toughest challenges yet!
• Three main storylines to follow and dozens of side quests.
• Three dynamic factions to ally with.
• Many other surprises to discover!

There are three factions to choose from. The Soldiers of Rallos Zek display a love for combat and value winning above all else. The foot soldiers are called Zaorans while the chosen ones to lead the armies are called Rallosians. Their love for war have caused their bodies to either decay into horrible forms or transcend into energy.

The Crusaders of Mithaniel Marr, or the Honor Guard, value honor and justice. They uphold their ideals fervently and fight those who oppose them. Their overzealous pursuit for justice have led some to doubt this faction’s true intentions.

The Akessan Collective are mostly suspicious and hostile toward anyone but their own kind. Their particular specialty is stealth. They have transcended to their advantage, having a form thats made of pure energy and the more tangible form.

EverQuest Online Adventures by Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) is set in Norrath during the “Age of Adventure”, half a century before the original EverQuest.
