Play TinyWarz, hope to win an Xbox 360

Small is beautiful: TinyWarz

It’s TinyWarz‘s way of saying Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one lucky player: just play the game, and over the course of blowing virtual stuff up, you may just have blown up your very own chance to win an Xbox 360 – no kidding, but it’s “blowing up” in a good way. Read on.

TinyWarz is a web browser-enabled, java-based MMO turn-based strategy game from MobRule Studios that has players deploying their army of player-designed, mechanized… tiny robots to conquer distant worlds, and against computer-controlled enemies or even other players (Yeah, it’s not an Xbox 360 or Live Arcade game). Registration is required to play the game, however.

Now, for those registered players of the game… Every computer-controlled bandit in any planet in the game, from now until December 31, has a small chance of dropping an “Xbox 360 Modification” upon its destruction. The player who salvages said Xbox 360 modification wins the Xbox 360. Simple, easy, and all players have to do is blow the heck out of computer-controlled worlds.

Suddenly, but not surprisingly, it’s not looking good for those computer-controlled worlds.

Yeah, it’s a promotional hook to draw new players to the game, and/or get the registered players to play more. But it looks like an interesting game, and there is that free 360 at the end of it – if you manage to genocidally wipe out every computer-controlled planet in the MMO game to maximize your chances. And it’s not exactly like it’s a $ 100 rebate or something – but who knows? You may actually like TinyWarz in the process.
