Play-Asia to sell Resident Evil 4: Wii edition early?
Heads up, Nintendo Wii fans! Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition may be slated for a May 31st debut in Japan and is set to launch in the US on June 19th, but Play-Asia seems to suggest that it can give American fans a delivery as early as next week for US$ 49.00. For additional bragging rights, you can pay for extra-fast shipping services and play the game ahead of everyone else and spam reviews.
The catch is that you’ll get the Japanese version Biohazard 4 instead of the English Resident Evil 4, which means it’s the same game with a different title, language and price tag.
Seriously though, that’s going to cost you a bundle. If you’re not in such a huge rush, you can get the same thing at US$ 30 just two weeks after the early release. Imagine yourself as a kid undergoing the cookie EQ test and you’ll get the idea.
Still, everyone including us here at QJ expect the game to be an awesome gaming event for a lot of good reasons. The game first came out in the GameCube and it knocked our collective socks off. It was then ported to the PlayStation 2 and it blew us away again before we could put our socks back on. With the re-invention of the controls and more features promised for RE4 Wii edition, we may never put our socks on back again ever.
