PlayStation 3 app allows Wireless TV-out for the PC
Sometimes I wonder if the PlayStation 3 could still rightly be called just a video game console, with all the stuff it can do. This new program allows the PS3 to connect wirelessly to your PC, allowing it to stream directly to your TV. Details after the link.
Sometimes I wonder if the PlayStation 3 could still rightly be called just a video game console, with all the stuff it can do. It’s a Blu-ray player. No, it’s a TV DVR box. No, it’s… a PC-TV intermediary? This new program from DisplayShare allows the PS3 to connect wirelessly to your PC, allowing it to stream data directly to your TV.
The program, available for 50 bucks, can stream both video and audio. You can also modify settings to capture only a part of the screen – useful for watching YouTube. It’s a a nifty little app, if not exactly the most useful. I can’t imagine a lot of situations where I can use it, unless the office projector suddenly conks out.
