If you own a Japanese PSP slim, you might be able to find this article quite helpful. JakeOLantern posted his experience when he upgraded his Japanese PSP Slim with the 3.90 Firmware.

In his post, he mentioned that there wasn’t any Skype icon on his XMB when he was using his PSP Slim 2000 model. He then asked if the origin of his handheld would make a difference.

A person readily replied that the reason behind this is that his PSP was from Japan, the recently launched Sony PSP 3.90 Firmware was meant for the US and countries in Europe.

A number of people also added that he rather wait for the Japanese release of the 3.90 Firmware update since both of Japanese PSP Slim 2000 model and the Japanese Firmware would come from the same source. It would only make sense if he updated his Japanese PSP Slim with the Japanese Firmware.

Do keep in mind this incident if you own the same PSP model as JakeOlantern. Now, if you have experienced the same thing, feel free to inform us with the comment section below.
