Sony had a lot of people worrying last month when it announced a major company reorganization, which will lay off 16,000 workers.
They recently announced that they don’t have any plans for further restructuring. In a brief statement, a Sony spokesman said:
We announced the restructuring of the electronics business last month. We are not planning to announce further restructuring at this time.
Although Sony hasn’t detailed which of its divisions will be included in the restructuring, SCEE boss David Reeves said that the European division of the PlayStation Group, at least, won’t be affected. Hopefully the entire PS Group will be kept intact as well.
