PlayStation Network and PS3’s first System Update
Photos of PS3’s first system update have been posted over at Kotaku. The writer signed up for the PlayStation Network over the weekend, so the System Update had to come first.
So here are pictures of the update process. What we are more interested in is the HDTV (especially fellow QJ blogger Ian C. who just wrote an article comparing the 1080i and 1080p).
How was the PlayStation Network? Well this Kotaku article didn’t give it an in-depth treatment, but it did say that the PlayStation Network was “not bad, not bad at all.” Why so hesitant to give a review? The author gave a good reason: “It’s easy to compare it to Xbox Live, but I won’t. Microsoft has had a tremendous head start in putting together its own stellar online service. Sony just taking those first few steps.”
Yeah. Let’s compare them when we have more info and when a bit of time has passed. For now, let’s just enjoy these images.
