Namco Bandai announced Point Blank, its highly popular arcade shooter, is currently in development for the Nintendo DS. The game is expected to be released this summer. Point Blank DS will include levels from the three games in the arcade series and will use the stylus of the Nintendo DS as the main form of control. Point Blank tests hand-eye coordination by rapidly tapping a number of objects such as clay pigeons and aliens. Point Blank DS will also include four difficulty settings and over forty stages for users to explore. The DS version also supports wireless multiplayer abilities through a VS mode where users can easily challenge their friends on a single game card. The game is expected to be released this summer.
