Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Wi-Fi Details
A website named The Pika Club has details on how the WiFi battles and trades will work in Pokemon Pearl and Pokemon Diamond. First, you’ll be able to save 32 friend codes into your Friends List. Your Friends List is kept inside your “Friend Notebook.” After both of you register each other’s friend codes, you can both head down to the Pokemon Centre’s basement for the WiFi booth. You can then start trading or battling. During WiFi play, you can chat with your friends using both text chat and voice chat!
It seems Nintendo isn’t afraid to use voice chat for even games that aren’t rated “T”, so hopefully this will mean more games will have it! I know many of you will moan about Friend Codes, but really, are they any different from IP addresses in PC games? We’ll be definitely hearing more details on Pokemon when the game is released in Japan later this year!
