Pokemon Snap, Ghosts and Goblins confirmed for US Virtual Console
It’s now confirmed: Pokemon Snap and Ghosts and Goblins will indeed be hitting US Virtual Console. Not only that, but today’s update will also include NeoGeo‘s Baseball Stars 2. Details in the full article!
Good news to Wii gamers in the US: Pokemon Snap and Ghosts and Goblins are indeed confirmed for US Virtual Console, and will be included in today’s Wii Shop Channel update.
As mentioned in the previous article, Pokemon Snap (one player, 1,000 Wii Points) was originally released for the Nintendo 64, and puts players into the shoes of Todd Snap, who is tasked to snap pictures of various Pokemon. However, there’s a special feature added to the Wii Virtual Console version of Pokemon Snap: players can post pictures they took in-game onto the Wii Message Boards, and even send the snapshots to friends whom they traded friends codes with!
On the other hand, Ghosts and Goblins (1-2 players, 500 Wii Points) is a classic arcade title arcade platformer where players go on a quest to save (*drumroll*) the princess from Astaroth.
Aside from the two games mentioned above, NeoGeo baseball title Baseball Stars 2 (1-2 players, 900 Wii Points) will also become available in Virtual Console starting today. This game can be played by up to two players, and will let gamers experience classic arcade baseball. Choose from any of the six available teams in the game, and play against a friend or battle it out in a 15-game tournament against the computer.
These great titles will hit US Virtual Console today, on 9 a.m. Pacific Time. Better grab those Wii Points, stat!
