Post-GDC 2006 Thoughts: Pandemic And BioWare Love Nintendo Revolution, No Future Plans For It
We can only described it as an “oxymoronic” situation. Third-party developers Pandemic (Full Spectrum Warrior, Star Wars: Battlefront) and Bio Ware (Jade Empire. Neverwinter Nights, Baldur’s Gates) praised the Nintendo Revolution console (“enthralled” was the word used by Pandemic CEO Josh Resnick). According to Bio Ware CEO Greg Zeschuk “The Revolution is a very different platform, and we’ve actually just seen some things behind closed doors that are just mind-blowing…Very, very exciting. They’re doing something that’s very different and unique.”
But, and its a big but, the two companies have no planned projects for the system. Isn’t that like saying “I love you. But I would rather gnaw my own foot to a bloody stump than marry you”?
