Potentially expensive: Braid to cost 1200 MS Points, Castle Crashers going for 1800
Via the Japanese XBLA blog, we’ve found out what appears to be the final price for the upcoming Summer of Arcade games for Xbox Live. What’s interesting to note is that two of these games will be quite expensive, with one of them potentially becoming the most expensive XBLA game to date if the information holds true. Learn more after the jump.
You know, there’s a reason why we sometimes have Amazon links for Microsoft Points cards on XBLA related articles. Someday, there’s going to be a time when you’ll want a game so bad and think, “Dagnabbit! If only I bought that MS Point card from Amazon!”
We think that day is fast approaching.
Word from the Japanese XBLA blog is that XBLA titles Braid and Castle Crashers will cost some mucho dinero. Braid will be going for 1200 MS Points, while Castle Crashers will be sold at for 1800 MS Points. To make it clear, if this bit of information is true, Castle Crashers will become the most expensive XBLA game to date.
There’s certainly nothing wrong with a high price tag on an XBLA title. Sure, it may be a bit restrictive, but from all the information we’ve gathered, both these games should be well worth the price that’s been mentioned and might even be a bargain compared to if they had been released at retail.
That said, if you’re planning on getting either of the two games, there’s an Amazon link for 1600 MS Points below. *wink-wink*
Braid will be available on XBLA on August 6, while Castle Crashers will come out on August 27.
