Premium bundle 360 going for $255 in Japan

X360 Premium

News has spread that you can buy an Xbox 360 premium bundle for as little as $255 in Japan. Obviously, this deal isn't all over the country, but particularly in Japanese retail chain Tetsuya who have slashed the price of a 360 premium bundle from 39,795 Yen to 29,800 Yen, that's $341 to $255 US (£235 GBP, €200)! This price drop is completely unofficial, with no word from Microsoft about a price drop and it is unsure whether or not other store chains will follow suit or if this is a permanent offer.

Although we will again state that this isn't an official price drop, it does further restate the Xbox 360's struggles in Japan. This is not some kind of in-store one off promotion, but an attempt to get rid of stock with the poor sale rate of 360's in the gaming hotspot. This will be confirmed if other Japanese stores follow suit and drop their prices. In any case, if you find yourself on holiday in Japan this summer why not pick one up for just $255? You can't get any better value than a top-quality gaming machine for $255 - it's pretty much what the trusty old PS2's are selling for where I am from in the UK!
