The rumors of a new Professor Layton game are half-right. Yes, there will indeed be a new title to the series, but contrary to the rumors, it won’t be coming out in October. Instead, it’s coming out September.
Professor Layton and The Unwound Future is the third iteration for the franchise. Here, Professor Layton and Luke receives a letter from Luke — from ten years into the future. Somewhere, somehow, I see a Flash Forward flashback.
In the letter, Luke describes London to be in quite a dire mess, and the Professor and Luke are tasked by Future Luke to help fix things right by solving puzzles — all over 165 of them.
Other new features added are new hand drawn sequences, super-hint options and weekly downloadable puzzles. You’ll be in on this adventure on the Nintendo DS come September 20, 2010 for the US.
