Project Sylpheed website goes live

Project SylpheedSquare Enix has made the official Japanese website for Project Sylpheed available. It comes with a fancy flash design and rocking music to get you in the mood for the Project Sylpheed release on September 28 – that’s only for Japan, of course. The website features information about the story, characters and gameplay. A “Download” section is currently under construction.

As said, Project Sylpheed goes on sale in roughly a month. The Xbox 360-exclusive game is a modern-day successor to the popular Silpheed series of shoot ’em ups. Attempting to update old-school shoot ’em up action for a next-gen audience, the game will feature a colorful science fiction world, fluid visuals and detailed cutscenes. While there’s only a Japanese release date as of now, Square-Enix is apparently planning to bring the game to the US and Europe.

Meanwhile, you can check out the game’s website. It has some interesting art and looks very slick, without being overloaded with effects and animations.
