Prototype: gameplay videos, Alex Mercer and gameplay details

Alex Mercer, the protagonist of Prototype, is an interesting character to say the least. Not only is his biology messed up, but his mind is as well. Despite everything though, he’s still pretty cool. You’ll see why after watching these new videos of Prototype in the full article.

In Prototype (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) you’ll be stepping into the shoes of Alex Mercer, a man of superhuman abilities but with no memories of his past. He’s an interesting character to say the least. In these new videos, you’ll get to see why.

The first video is an interview with Tim Bennison, Executive Producer of Radical Entertainment. He talks about Alex, his powers, and a bit of his story. He also talks about the game’s Power Select Menu and Combo System.

The last two videos are mostly gameplay montages. You’ll see just how dangerous Alex can be. He’s an X-Men army by himself. You’ll also see a lot of Alex’s “consume” ability, which is pretty cool (and pretty disturbing) to watch.
