Developer pspflashsystem visited the Qj.NET Forums earlier to announce the release version 4.0 of the prxutility++ application for the Sony PSP. In case you weren’t around during our previous coverage, this homebrew plugin will enable you to display essential information on your PSP, such as its remaining battery time, cpu/bus speed, mac address, and motherboard model.
Version 4.0 in particular has been optimized to work with Team M33’s custom PSP firmware 4.01 and higher. As for the rest of the changes (quoting pspflashsystem’s thread):
- Compatible with the 4.01 M33 or higher
- You can now take screenshots with L + HOME saved to “ms0:/PICTURE/prxutility++shot”
- When you are in the Help menu, this prx suspend the xmb to avoid that the xmb is decelerated
- Fixed some bugs
Further details on using prxutility are available in the readme included with the file bundle. Just be sure to have a link handy for your favorite translation site since the instructions are in French. You may also want to visit the developer’s release thread at the QJ/NET PSP Development Forum if you’re interested in leaving your feedback.
