PS3 and Revolution Pre Pre-Orders

Toys “R” Us Canada started taking pre-orders on the  Playstation 3 and Revolution. There is a $50 deposit for the system and the customers are not told when they can expect seeing there long awaited gem.  Could this mean that there will be a sooner release date? I doubt it

According to employees the pre-orders are unofficial and will be added to the system when the company starts taking official pre-orders. Apparently this is a common practice to insure that your store gets enough units. The more pre-orders you have the more systems you get.

Still if stores are going to all the trouble of having a pre pre-order you might want to take advantage of it cause these systems are going to sell fast.
