PS3 attach rate hits 1.65 in UK
Things continue to pick up for the PS3 on the numbers side. According to computer gaming news website MCV, Sony‘s next gen videogames console has reached an overall software to hardware attach ratio of 1.65 after its UK launch.
The PS3’s current attach ratio is still a bit shy of the PS2‘s opening weekend attach rate ratio of 1.67, but these new numbers still constitute a success for Sony, especially when you factor in the console’s rather high price point.
MCV also reports that according to figures from ChartTrack, PS3 launch titles Resistance: Fall of Man and MotorStorm have reached the top two spots respectively on the ChartTrack All Format Top 40. In total, six new PS3 games entered the top ten, while a total of 13 titles made an appearance on the All Formats top 40. Of the 13 titles, five were PS3 exclusives.
