PS3 Boomerang Controller ‘Stupid’ – Sony Actually Admit?
President of the Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Division, Phil Harrison has not only confirmed that a replacement design for the boomerang styled PS3 controller will appear at this years E3 Expo in May, he’s also essentially admitted the controller was a stupid idea. This realisation isn’t big news to most die hard gamers, given it was the overarching reaction to the device when it was first shown last year.
As usual the Sony PR machine have played down any negative aspects of the PS3, including the rather strange controller design and resulting comments about it, choosing rather to concentrate on the latest batch of ‘a new controller will appear at E3’ statements. The new controller is thought by many to be a far more regular design, nothing too shocking so that gamers who are loud on the internet will purr like kittens when they first catch a glimpse of it. Needless to say we’ll be covering it here at QJ.
