PS3 Euro launch: peripherals and downloadable titles lineup
As you can all recall, the previously-scheduled 30 PlayStation 3 (PS3) launch titles for Europe was diminished to just 25. On top of this, a couple of the promised downloadable titles will also not make it in time for the launch. But what the heck, the console will be launched in just a couple of hours, and we know you’re now up and about, and getting ready for it.
Anyway, aside from the console itself and the games that you will be getting (have you decided what to get yet?), you might want to get new accessories that will complement your newly-acquired entertainment system. So for those who are planning to do just that, here’s a quick rundown of available peripherals on launch day, along with their suggested retail price:
- SIXAXIS: 34.99 GBP (US$ 68.90)
- Blu-ray remote: 17.99 GBP (US$ 35.43)
- HDMI cable: 17.99 GBP (US$ 35.43)
- Component AV cable: 17.99 GBP (US$ 35.43)
- AV cable: 12.99 GBP (US$ 25.58)
- S-video cable: 12.99 (US$ 25.58)
Also, in case you’d like to know, the prices of the downloadable titles that will be available on day one are listed below. Curiously though, gaming site Eurogamer didn’t list Super Rub a Dub‘s details, so we’re wondering what happened to that one.
- Tekken: Dark Resurrection: 6.99 GBP (US$ 13.77)
- Blast Factor: 3.49 GBP (US$ 6.87)
- Lemmings: 3.49 GBP (US$ 6.87)
- Gran Turismo HD Concept: Free
