PS3 hack successful with Motorstorm exploit?

A group of hackers over at the haxnetwork is claiming that they have, in fact, successfully concocted a method that will be able to boot PS3 Blu-ray copies with MotorStorm. Is it legit? Most are expressing doubts. Still, I bet Sony wouldn’t be too happy to welcome the new year with persistent folks trying to have a crack at their system’s security.

On top of the lengthy instructions to get the exploit working, the other downside of this is that it does not actually work for all games. Although, they claim that the exploit works just fine with Killzone 2, PES 2008 and Burnout Paradise.
