PS3 In September, Online Service Called

Somewhat out of the blue, NextGeneration informs us that “well-placed industry sources” (aren’t they always) can reveal that the PS3 will see a launch in both North America and Japan come September. They inform that Sony’s planned Xbox Live killer will be called “PlayStation Hub”. They also go into some specifics as to what we can expect from Playstation Hub, interactivity with PSP, downloadable content and perhaps a monthly fee (groaaaaan). No official confirmation on any of this has come forth, but if this and the recently leaked Lair preview are true, it seems Sony’s iron clad stranglehold on information about its Cell powered beast is finally starting to slip.
