PS3 launch window rumors in Australia
This rumored report reported by PALGN-Australia should be sending some shivers down the PS3 community of Oz as we type this. Although there seem to be no fixed dates from Sony or anywhere else for a PS3 launch in Australia other than either “1st quarter 2007” or potentially “March 2007“, the PALGN-Au people have stumbled across the local release dates of five PS3 titles.
- February 28, 2007: Rainbow Six: Vegas, Blazing Angels
- March 1, 2007: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007, Need for Speed Carbon, Fight Night Round 3
But things change, seasons change, oil prices fluctuate, and game release dates are pushed and pulled at a publisher’s whim. PALGN-Au admit that as much as they try to confirm these dates, they’re “not going to hold their breath for this one”. If the dates are confirmed though, that puts the potential Aussie launch within the bracket of those two dates.
Or maybe not. “Whether or not (these) date actually eventuate for the PS3 is another matter.” Still, you’d expect a PS3 to launch with at least a few titles for the locals to drool over. Unless there are some games that are expected to launch earlier in Oz…
But no price drop. And hopefully, no PS3 hoarding even before the gate, either.
