PS3 Linux: Blu-ray movies pirates heaven?

watch out!It appears that even the greatest console technology is no match for the attack of the pirates. Over at IGN, it’s been reported that there already are certain sites which have professed to the existence of gamers who illegally copy movies to the PS3 hard drive, via the Linux.

While no details have been mentioned as to how, who, and when these occurred, it doesn’t really take a genius to figure out that in as much as the PS3 promises to make things gaming and a whole lot of other activities much easier, it also inadvertently opened up a whole new gateway for easier pirating. By simply putting the file on the hard drive, it is not entirely far-fetched that someone would soon figure out a way how to burn them Blu-ray movies.

Oh, but the creativity and ingenuity of man. If only they’d channel those talents to something that is legit, and not harmful to the industry.
