PS3: On sale, but no buyers…

The PS3: It’s on everybody’s wish list. But while some recent polls state that it’s a lust object for many a shopper, it might not stay that way for a while. Wasted Rage over at HD game news just made a visit over to his local Game Stop retailers, and made this observation:

I know from personal experience I was in my local Gamestop on Tuesday, (the day after Christmas), the store was absolutely packed to the rim with customers. There were two 60 Gig Playstation 3 consoles sitting in plain view right behind the counter with at least five others in stock. It seemed nobody was interested at all.

Rage states that this pattern’s circulating around other retailers, which makes this dilemma interesting for the guys who’ve been reading up the past surveys. On one hand, the PS3’s a wanted product on the net, but maybe there’s just something giving people second thoughts about grabbing the unit. Aside from the $ 600 price tag and various system bugs found in it, we’d like to know what you guys think makes the guys wishing for the unit hesitant about getting one. Fire away.
