According to a new post on the European PlayStation blog, the majority of the currently available PSP minis titles are expected to become playable on the PS3 come December 17. That’s one rumor confirmed. Those who’ve already bought minis games for their PSP and want to play them on the PS3 can just download the titles again for free. There’s no Trophy support for minis at the moment, though.

There’s also a new PS3 data transfer feature that lets gamers easily transfer all of their saved data from one PS3 to another. Perfect when you have more than one PS3. All you need’s a LAN cable. Thing is, you can’t copy content like games, game save data, and videos downloaded from the PSN. You can transfer them to another PS3 but they’ll be deleted from the PS3 they were originally in. In PC terms, it’s kinda like cutting instead of copying. Other stuff like photos, music, and videos can be copied normally.

The only date mention in the post is the December 17th one for the minis. That’s a Thursday so I’m assuming the optional update will go live on that day as well.
