PS3 plays music from hard drive in the middle of games?
We spotted an interesting post from We! where he narrated that he stumbled upon a “hidden” function of the Sony PlayStation 3 which enabled him to play music from the hard drive in the middle of the game. We! said he was tinkering with Japanese game Everyday Together and didn’t understand anything in the menu. He chose the option shown above and wonder of wonders, it asked him to choose a track.
We! is Spanish and the menu text that followed appeared in Spanish and not Japanese, causing him to theorize that the player is not part of the game but perhaps part of the firmware that he has in his Sony PlayStation 3 system. See the images below to check and validate them.
Additional details suggest that this player has been worked on by Sony as it has some basic play options such as shuffle, repeat, and what not. Is this part of a bigger plan for the PS3 to increase functionality? Do you think that games in the future will support it? Tell us by posting your comments below.
