Thanks to the combined power of the Torne DV-R add-on and Yakuza 4, the Sony PS3 shot to the top of the Japanese hardware sales charts ending March 21.

 

The PS3’s sales for the week of March 15 to march 21 nearly doubled the previous week’s numbers. At 50,164 units sold, the Sony home console managed to dethrone the usual top contenders: Sony’s own PSP and the Nintendo DS. It’s still the same case even if you combine the sales of all the DS models.
