PS3 SDK gets YouTube upload function, shows it off in Mainichi Issho
Sony has announced that it has added support for the YouTube API to the PlayStation 3 software development kit, even going as far as implementing it within one of their free Japanese-specific games, Mainichi Issho. Learn more about the implementation of this YouTube API support after the jump!
It looks like Sony is now in the user-created cuteness business. The company has added support for the YouTube API to the PlayStation 3 software development kit, and has gone as far as showing it off in one of the PS3’s games.
The game, called Mainichi Issho, or Together Everyday, has players controlling a cat named Toro. Sony recently made good with the support of the YouTube API by adding video sharing functions to the game, allowing users to record their activities with Toro and share them with the world as YouTube videos.
Mainichi Issho has a history of being the first to experience new innovations on the PlayStation 3. Back in June of 2007, Toro was also one of the first test subjects for in-game shopping, as well as remote play connectivity.
