PS3 sends out official to-drool-for fliers
If you’re looking for another reason that will convince you to shell out big money ($ 600, to be exact) for the PS3, the console’s official flier will kick you over edge. The high-flying glossy reading materials which were handed out at Digital Life 2006 in New York, packs more hype than Paris Hilton’s career (“Celebrity Most Likely to be Insignificant if it Weren’t for the Paparazzi and Celebrity Tabloids/Blogs” according to a survey, by the way).
The flier describes the PS3 as “Beyond anything ever created in the world of gaming,” “Performs 1.8 trillion calculations per second,” and our personal favorite “If it (PS3) can’t do it, it probably shouldn’t be done.” The fliers also make use of the PS3’s new-found slogan, “PLAY B3YOND”, and then proceeds to talk about all the lovely features of this console, how sensitive the Sixaxis is, and basically just about how super the whole thing is.
If you can’t afford the PS3 at its current price, then we suggest you avert your eyes from the flier as it’s going to hurt. A lot.
