PS3 shipment dated
QJ blogger Pranav has already reported on the PS3 preorders being gone in minutes. Well, here’s a mixed bag of not-so-new “news” we saw on Amazon. Check out the image above (you can click it for a larger version). Notice how Amazon is very reserved about offering pre-orders.
While other sites let you pre-order PS3 units for free, Amazon is probably out to make sure that they have enough supply to meet the demand. While the shipping date of November 17 isnÂ’t exactly breaking news, itÂ’s good to know that retailers are starting to make plans to counter the long lines and the retail store camping that will probably start come November 16 (or 15 for really excited folks).
Some lucky dude who gets his console early will probably sell it for a decent price on eBay. Despite all the “hate” that has been directed towards Sony in the past few months and all the criticisms, the possibility of overwhelming demand during the first few days of the release is still quite high. Time will tell.
Thanks to user “nd” for the word.
