PS3 Will NOT Be Playable at E3?

Only a rumor (and take this one with a big grain of salt), but Spong is reporting that the PS3 will NOT be playable at E3 this year.  According to Spong the showing of the PS3 during E3 will be “tightly-restricted hands-on debut”.  This is incredibly saddening news if this statement is indeed true.  Their reasoning for this claim is that many third party developers have told Spong that their games will not be shown at the Sony stand.  Spong believes that the PS3 will be displayed as the PSP was.  If you have tickets to go to E3 or know somebody who does, do not expect PS3 demo booths covering the floors this year at E3.  This could be a possible crowd control tactic on Sony’s part, so that everybody at least gets a glimpse of this new machine.  You can read about this and any other news about E3 at our new E3 Section at QJ.NET, and be sure to check out our live coverage of the major event and see up-to-the second updates of all the big press conferences starting May 8th!
