PS3-exclusive Megazone 23: Aoi Garland comes to Japan in September

Development studio Compile Heart has an upcoming title exclusive to the PlayStation 3 console named Megazone 23: Aoi Garland. The name of the video game might sound familiar to some of you because it is actually based from the first ever Original Animated Video (OVA) Megazone 23.

Aoi Garland will be released on September 13 in Japan and there is still no word if it will be released in other markets. However, Famitsu‘s online website has an interesting entry stating that the game will have an “Over seas Edition” that comes bundled with the DVD version of the original series which was released back in 1985.

Details about Aoi Garland are still scarce but we learned that it is somewhat a hybrid of adventure game as well as command-based mecha combat simulator. In this title, players will interact with the many characters from the series and control robots by choosing attack commands from a window.

Megazone 23: Aoi Garland will be priced for 7,140 Yen or roughly around US$ 54.34. The “Over seas Edition”, on the other costs 9,240 Yen (US$ 75.51).
