PSN getting new zombie game from doublesix

Shooting up zombies is always fun. Setting them on fire is even more fun. Combine the two and you’ve got the basic premise for doublesix’s new PSN title, Burn Zombie Burn!.

This recently-announced game is a mad brew of high-score based action and B-grade zombie movies for up to two players. Players get to choose between three characters and will have to fight of the undead horde on six arenas.

Like the title suggests, the usage of fire is one of the game’s key aspects. Players can use it to either set zombies on fire or keep them at bay. The number of burning zombies will act as a score multiplier. Burning zombies also drop better power-ups and upgrades, but they also move faster and dish out more damage.

Burn Zombie Burn! is scheduled to arrive on the PlayStation Store in January 2009. In the meantime, check out the screenshots below.
