PSN update: Folding@Home bumped up to version 1.31

It’s not just the PlayStation Store that’s bringing in updates, it seems. Thanks to a tip from reader yoti93, we’re letting you guys know that Sony Computer Entertainment has updated the Folding@Home service to version 1.31.
According to the company, this update aims to improve the software’s operations for handling network errors related to the uploading and downloading of work. Quoting SCEI‘s official explanation:
When communication with Stanford UniversityÂ’s servers is unsuccessful, the application will now try an effective method of attempting to reconnect based on the specific error condition.
To avail of update 1.31, all you have to do is to restart your Folding@Home. The application will then prompt you to update to the latest version release. Drop by again in case we pick up any more updates.
