PSP deal turns sour, dissatisfied buyer nabs seller
The trouble with selling stuff in one of those meet-up exchanges is that you’ll never know for certain who you’re dealing with. For all you know, you might be dealing with the customer from hell. In this case, he was from American Fork, Utah. His name is Jose Eduardo Espinosa-Arellano and he bought a PSP from a 17-year-old. When it didn’t work as advertised, he did what every rational individual would do – take the kid for a ride.

When it didn’t work as advertised, he did what every rational individual would do – take the kid for a ride.
Hopefully, you got the sarcasm on that one, but that’s exactly what Arellano did. After taking the PSP home and having a go with it, he went back to his underage seller complaining that the PSP wasn’t working right. Unfortunately for Arellano, the 17-year-old did not have a money back guarantee, even after he demanded his money back. Whatever the teen’s reason was, apparently, Arellano didn’t like it.
Arellano then told his PSP seller, “Let’s go for a ride.” All those “Just Say No” PSAs when you were little should’ve at least taught you one important lesson: Don’t get into the effing car. Maybe this teen didn’t see any of them. Saying he was trying to control the situation, he got into the car anyway, in which Arellano took him 20 miles up the road to Salt Lake City.
When Arellano refused to let him out, the teen SMS‘ed his brother through the entire drive, telling him where they were headed. The brother then contacted Highway Patrol to help look for them.
When they exited the interstate and stopped at a red light, the teen got out of the car and ran for it. “The suspect made comments to him were very concerning to the victim,” a law enforcement spokesman said. “He felt like he was in grave danger, and that’s the reason he jumped out of the car.”
So now, Arellano was arrested and taken into custody, where he could be facing charges for kidnapping. And no, he probably didn’t check our PSP Forums to see what was wrong his secondhand PSP.
