PSP homebrew: 3D Virtual Earth v0.5
Here’s giving the PSP ad campaign of “Your whole world in your hands” a different definition. PSP homebrew developer mifki has released 3D Virtual Earth v0.5. Since it’s an early release, mifki explains that there aren’t much features yet. The bare bones function is there though: you can explore the whole surface of the globe in 3D! For a 6MB file, that goes quite a long way (virtually, at least)!

Here are some notes from miki:
Controls
- Arrows – move, L/R – zoom
- cross/triangle – tilt, square/circle – rotate
- start – menu
Known problems
- Not sure how it will work on PSP-1000 (fat) because of less memory available, it may crash. I think next versions will be Slim-only, sorry, I’ll have to drop support for older PSPs in order to implement great features I’m planning.
