PSP homebrew – Dungeons of Daggorath v0.7
Here’s a blast from the past, it’s Dungeons of Daggorath. Play this 1982 dungeon crawler on your PSP, with the same addicting feel of an oldschool adventure game. With all the high-octane games we’re having right now, it’s nice to have a pleasant walk down memory lane with this brew.

Know your gaming history and play Dungeons of Daggorath on your PSP. The 1982 classic makes a homebrew comeback thanks to darkweb, with the same (if not better) feel of the ol’ adventure.
Here’s the current button mapping:
- D-pad: directions
- X: attack right
- SQUARE: attack left
- CIRCLE: Brings up the keyboard
- TRIANGLE: examine (depending on what mode you’re in)
- L TRIGGER: Brings up the command creator menu
- R TRIGGER: Turn around
- START: Brings up the game menu
- SELECT: Executes P L T, U L, P R SW (only good for getting started)
Darkweb adds some extras to this game, like saving and loading from 10 different slots to give some variety for those that don’t feel like typing in a save command. For now, the game’s a bit slow using the original graphics mode, so the developer recommends you putting it on Vector mode. Note that this has only been tested on PSP Slim.
Dev’s to-do list:
- Implement cancel partial command from command creator menu
- Add in customizable macros for each button
- Add manual as how to play
- Try to increase the speed for plotting dots
- Remove PC specific code
Bugs:
- Commands don’t always get input correctly
- PSP locked up while cancelling incant menu?
Changelog:
