Finally, a practical homebrew for the PSP user who just wants to ‘know’ without a lot of awkward questions. Introducing the Gaydar v1.5 for the PSP. This cutting edge piece of technology turns your PSP into genuine working “Gay radar” that will detect even the most closeted of the same sex-inclined.
After installation, just point your PSP’s infrared port at a person and press “O.” A light will supposedly indicate the subject’s sexual orientation within seconds. Operative word is “supposedly” – just like with a Magic 8 ball, this Gaydar app will only stay just as genuine as you want it to be. So break a leg, have fun!
Of course, it is debatable whether or not gay people emit infrared waves or whether or not inanimate objects that do are actually gay themselves (in which case, it would certainly explain the eccentricities of my Wiimote). Also, Locofocos has yet to adapt Gaydar v1.5 to signals from those of Bi-sexual orientation so some inaccurate readings may result. He mentioned that he might remedy this in v2.0.
To install, put the appropriate version for your firmware where you would put any other homebrew. Version 1.0 and CFW are the same, except he put them in different folders. It is compatible with 1.50, 1.00 and custom firmwares. Gaydar v1.5 is Locofocos‘s first release.
