Homebrew coder RedHate has released a new version of PSNABLER, a homebrew plugin that allows you to access certain games on PSN with older PSN enabled firmwares that have been un-allowed to connect to the PSN network.
Supported Games:
- UCJS-10090 Resistance JAP
- UCUS-98668 Resistance US
- NPUG-80114 Syphon Filter Combat Ops
- UCES-01264 Little Big PlanetEU
- UCUS-98744 Little Big PlanetUS
- NPUG-80248 PixelJunk **NEWLY ADDED IN V5**
Installation:
- copy both psnabler.prx and psnabler.txt to the seplugins folder
- next add this line to your game.txt in the seplugins folder:
ms0:/seplugins/psnabler.prx 1 - then go into recovery and enable the plugin
- set your “UMD DRIVER” to m33 in the vsh menu.
How to setup PSN account:
- head over to playstations official home page and create a new psn account id.
- when you are done creating your psn id on psn network, fire up your psp and open op the *psn store* tab (gen users may now have this option) and click *sign in with EXISTING account* and fill out your info, when you are done it will ask you if you want to connect to the psn store, say no.. it will fail anyways.
- after that start up a game.
Tips for making it work:
- make sure psnabler.txt is in the seplugins folder along with the psnabler.prx (if the prx doesnt find the psnabler.txt it does not work)
- make sure your psnabler.txt says: 06.20 inside of it. (this should solve the issue about telling you to update to get on lbp)
- make sure you use the m33 driver in the *vsh menu* other drivers will result in crashing..
- make sure you have a psn account on registered on your psp
- and if in the future it magically tells you that you need to update your firmware to get on psn change the version string to match the latest sony ofw’s firmware # for example, the latest firmware is 6.20 so inside your version.txt we would place “06.20” with out quotations.
