PSP iR Shell V1.3 released!
AhMan has updated his iR Shell hombrew application to Version 1.3 today. iR shell utilizes the PSP’s build in infared technology to be used as a universal remote control, as well as being a great shell, with one of the best screenshot captures out there. To quote the readme:
“The original adhoc file transfer protocol in v1.2 is replaced with a sliding window file transfer protocol with error recovery. The transfer throughput has been boosted from 90KB/sec to 270KB/sec. That is 3 times faster. This version is incompatible with v1.2, you can only transfer files with other users with the same version of iR Shell. Special thanks to StoneCut and Triable for doing an extensive beta testing with 4 PSPs, and Skydew for providing icon & background gfx.”
In plain english, you can transfer files much, much faster than you could in previous versions; and because it’s incompatible with other versions of iR Shell, get it now!
