PSP Liberty City Stories = Greatest Hits = US$ 20?

And it was such a young title...

Even with Vice City Stories running on PSPs, Liberty City Stories can still make some noises. It’s only been a year since the the first Grand Theft Auto PSP title had been released, and now if you check the product page of the game at Best Buy, you will find that it is now a Greatest Hits.

And sold at US$ 20 a UMD pop.

This bit of news has gotten the guys at NeoGAF in a bit of a-twitter. It is, on the one hand, a bargain. Especially when you consider that the PS2 port, while more limited than its PSP sibling (no multiplayer, etc.), was sold for US$ 20 at debut. On the other hand, it has only been a year. And one member of the forum decided to run over to the official Sony Playstation site to check their Greatest Hits list and… it hasn’t been updated yet (if LCS is really a Greatest Hits now).

We can think of at least one other “On the other hand.” PSP owners would already have had them for the pre-2.70 exploit. Not that we’d need LCS for that anymore in this day and age, either.

Oh, well. If for some reason you still don’t have Liberty City Stories, seems like Best Buy now has the red-tagged Greatest Hits version for the bargain price (unless, of course, Best Buy got the inventory wrong…). Now if Vice City Stories was also sold at bargain prices…
