PSP Starter Pack v1.0
Drakai has released the PSP Starter Pack, v1.0, for use with PSP firmware version 1.0 or 1.50. If you have a PSP version 1.51, 1.52 or 2.0 you must first downgrade to use this. Currently there is NO known way to downgrade PSP firmwares 2.01 and 2.50, both of which will not run this program. PSP Starter Pack is a compilation of programs for your PSP to get a quick start on running emulators and various homebrew (homemade programs) on your PSP. From the mouth of Drakai about this program (be sure to read the readme too!): ?
Okay, well, this whole thing came about when WishGFX from the PSPUpdates forums asked me to help him design a “PSP Theme Installer”. Of course, that went down the tubes, so I decided to use all the graphical shizzle I had done for him anyway. No point letting good work go to waste. I also noticed that there were no really good “Starter Packs” for the PSP, sure, there were Homebrew Packs, but nothing really did the whole shabang. So, this here is the PSP Starter Kit.
The Starter Kit contains the following:
13 Homebrew Applications:
–PSP Radio
–Doom PSP
–PSP PDA
–LuaPlayer
–DGEN (Genesis Emulator)
–Philips Remote
–Sony Remote
–SnesPSP (Super Nintendo Emulator)
–DualTetris
–NesterJ (NES Emulator)
–LUA Button Mashing Revolution
–PSP Media Centre
–PSPersonalize (Change your background)
– Instructions on how to use all of the above Homebrew Applications
– A complete custom Theme that encompasses icons, backgrounds, and application backgrounds.
– Corrupt Data Hidden.
1: Installing the Pack.
-Turn on your PSPs USB connection.
-Simply Copy the contents of the zip file to your PSP, straight into your root, excluding this readme file. (Note: Please backup your /PSP/SAVEDATA folder before this.)
-Then, turn on your PSP, and run the “PSP Personalize” application from the “Game,Memory Card” menu.
-Press “O” when prompted.
-Press Home.
-Turn back on your PSP USB connection.
-Delete the BMP files in the root of your psp, titled from “1” to “12”.
-Delete the “PSPERS” and “PSPERS%” folders from your PSPs “PSP>GAME” folder.
-Done.
