PSPAtari: Atari 800/130/5200 Emulator for PSP v1.0.7
Zx-81 is far from over when it comes to sharing with us his wonderful, nostalgia-inducing PSP emulators. Now, he has updated his PSPAtari: Atari 800/130/5200 Emulator for PSP to v.1.0.7. And we could sure expect more from this guy.
Anyway, Atari800 is an emulator for the 800, 800XL, 130XE and 5200 models of the Atari personal computer. This creation is actually a port a port on the PSP of the version 2.0.2 of Atari800 from Petr Stehlik, which was released around April of last year. Now that the trip back memory lane is over and done with, let’s jump right to the changelog for v1.0.7.
- A new graphical engine with new smoother render modes. It uses now the PSP GU for rendering, it does not run faster,
- but it’s a lot smoother.
- Save state dates are displayed in the emulator window (it’s now easier to identify and to load the right save state slot)
- Bug fix (load default keyboard mapping on startup)
That may not be much, but hey, a journey of a thousand miles begin with a single step. Ok, I’m officially babbling now. Anyway, be sure to check out the readme file that comes with the download so as you’ll be in the loop about it’s installation procedures, acknowledgments, and other whatnot.
