PSPEnguin alpha
FaT3oYCG has finally released an alpha build of PSPenguin on the QJ.NET PSP Development forums. The PSPenguin homebrew app is a Lua-coded Linux shell for the Sony PlayStation Portable, similar to the Ultimate Lua Shell. There’s no changelog yet, but the coder did supply a quick bug list for those who wish to give PSPenguin a spin:
- you need a music file in the music directory – music activated with the hprm
- you need a picture in the picture directory – .png or .jpg (any size even bigger than 512 x 512)
Here are the controls:
- analouge – cursor
- cross – click
- square – close current window
- select – usb
- l+r – screenshot
Most of the code used in this app is from wxpsp, FaT3oYCG’s older shell release. As a shell clone, there’s little to no danger of getting your PSP bricked by PSPensguin, but it’s still a good idea to be extremely careful when installing this app. Click on the Visit link below to learn more about PSPenguin and to report any bugs you encounter.
