PSPFceUltra v2

HamsterBert has updated his NES emulator for the PSP to “Release 2.” This emulator was originally released for the NeoFlash Spring Coding Competition, but has since been updated since the author has chosen to continue his work on the emulators. After receiving much criticism for his first release of his 3 emulators, he has struck back and showed us that he will continue to update these, potentially making them better than the current ones. HamsterBert has improved a lot on his NES emulator, including adding sound which was lacking in the previous release! Best of luck on the rest of your emulators! The new updates to his NES emulator (PSP-FceUltra) include:

  • Basic sound support (Needs a bit more work)
  • Video renderer improvements:
  • Selectable filter mode, point filter or bilinear filter
  • new selectable video modes: no stretch, 4:3 full stretch, and fullscreen stretch
  • More work on the gui
  •  stavestates (needs support for more than on save per game)
  • frameskip for games that take a while to render
  • general cleanup of code
  • other little things that I can’t remember
