PSPGGO: Go game for the PSP v1.01

Go Board (not an actual screenshot of game)

Zx-81 has dropped by the forums to inform us of his new port for the PSP, PSPGGO. PSPGGO, which stands for PSP GNU-Go. GNU-Go is an ASCII command line GO game running on MacOS X, Windows and many Unix systems. Go originally originated in China and is very popular within East Asia. Having played Go myself (on my Pocket PC), I can venture for its extreme difficulty, and is best played on an electronic device for those impatient people. The object of Go is to remain with the most pieces at the end of the game (when no more pieces can be placed) while taking over your opponent’s adjacent pieces.

Zx-81 has ported GNU Go v3.6 to the PSP with a new GUI for the PSP and has confirmed that it’s working “fine” on the PSP. The picture above details a standard Go board with several pieces already placed on it. The PSP version of this “board” game interacts in the same way in which GNU Go does on your computer, just modified for the PSP. You can download this great port below –
