PSP Homebrew developer Royale has released a new build for the PSP-Maps application. If you aren’t familiar with PSP-Maps, it’s a map-reader that allows the Sony handheld to retrieve maps directly from Google Maps.

Aside from getting a brand new splash screen for the 2008 NEO Spring coding contest 2008, PSP-Maps also has three more improvements to the program. Here is the change log for PSP-Maps v0.6:

  • added splash screen for the NEO Spring coding contest 2008
  • added a progress bar when shrinking the cache
  • added an image to help zoom in (show/hide with button O)
  • updated the Makefile to remove old version number
