PSPOnline: web-based MMO for the PSP
Ocean19 has informed us that this pet project – PSPOnline, a web-based online RPG for the Sony PlayStation Portable – is now up and ready for PSP owners to try out. The game can be found at http://pspon.it.cx/.
According to Ocean19, the game is based on Zeke Walker’s Phaos (worldofphaos.zekewalker.com). Ocean19 took Phaos (with Zeke Walker’s permission, of course) and modified it to fit the PSP. Here’s a list of some of the features that the game has:
- “Who’s Online” page, along with the latest news.
- Your own “Personal Message” (PM) for the game.
- Multiple skills to gain (attack defence etc.)
- Different races and classes.
- Cash, and money that can be earned.
- Equips, and other types of game objects.
- Reputation points.
- The ability to trade other people.
- Sell your items.
- Drop them on the map, and other people may find them.
- Character page, including various statistics (and the option to drink the potion in the beginning, so you can actually move places).
- Full chat, located under the “Character” tab.
- Travel, to walk around the map. 😐
- Explore, to enter homes and portals. You can also use this on random map tiles, to gain items sometimes.
- Arena, to fight monsters and gain levels + items.
- Blacksmith, buy items (weapons, shields, etc.)
- Inn, to rest and regain health.
- Item + Magic shop (buy things, obviously).
- Town Hall, where you can start a guild as soon as you’re over level 10 (or join others).
- Trade (self explanatory).
- Music, an assortment of legal tunes, to further enjoy your online experience.
